Drug name: Xyzal
Generic name: Levocetirizine
Use: Treatment of cold and allergy symptoms.

Xyzal is available for the treatment of cold and allergy symptoms. It is directed to treat perennial allergies, as well as seasonal allergies (hay fever) and symptoms of the common cold. The active ingredient is levocetirizine which is an antihistamine. The drug works by reducing the effects of the natural chemical called histamine in the body. Histamine is the chemical that is responsible for symptoms such as sneezing, itchy or watery eyes and runny or stuffy nose. It is also directed for use in the treatment of itching and swelling caused by hives. We currently have brand Xyzal and generic levocetirizine 5 mg available in stock.

Xyzal Side Effects
The most common Xyzal side effects include:
• Drowsiness, weakness, fatigue;
• Stuffy nose, sinus pain, sore throat, cough;
• Vomiting, dry mouth, diarrhea, constipation;
• Weight gain;

More serious side effects may include:
• Depression, agitation, aggression, hallucinations;
• Fever, stomach pain, loss of appetite;
• Jaundice, dark-colored urine, foul-smelling stools;
• Nosebleeds (especially in children);
• Numbness or tingling around your lips or mouth;
• Pain in your ear, hearing problems;

Xyzal Safety in Pregnancy and Children
Before purchasing, tell your doctor if you have any of the following medical conditions:
• Gallbladder problems;
• Liver or kidney disease.

Xyzal is in pregnancy category B (studies have failed to demonstrate a risk). Discuss the risks and benefits of using Xyzal if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Xyzal is safe for use in adults and children over 6 months for perennial (all-year) allergies and hives. It is safe for use in adults and children over the age of 2 years for seasonal allergies (hay fever).
