Product Details

Inspiolto (olodaterol/tiotropium) is a prescription medication used to treat the symptoms of shortness of breath and wheezing commonly associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is a combination medication using olodaterol and tiotropium. Both medications are considered bronchodilators, but olodaterol is a long-acting beta agonist (LABA), and tiotropium is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA).

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Inspiolto may include cold symptoms, constipation, cough, dehydration, diarrhea, difficulty swallowing, dizziness, dry mouth, tiredness, heartburn, hoarseness, inflammation in the mouth, nosebleeds, etc. The serious side effects may include:

• Change in blood pressure
• Fungal infections in the mouth/throat
• Heart problems
• High blood sugar
• Increased pressure in the eyes
• Irregular heartbeats
• Lack of bowel movements
• Low potassium levels
• Lung infection
• Swelling in the feet, ankles, and legs
• Urinary tract infection

You should not take Inspiolto if you are allergic to olodaterol/tiotropium or if you have any other allergies. Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you currently take including OTC and herbal medications. This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. It is not currently known if this medication passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breast-feeding a baby while on this medication. There may be an interaction between Inspiolto and other medications such as: amphetamines, antihistamines, antipsychotics, beta 2 agonists, caffeine, decongestants, epinephrine, macrolide antibiotics, narcotics, norepinephrine, quinolone antibiotics, serotonin antagonists, theophyllines, thiazide diuretics, tricyclic antidepressants, and more.
