Nasacort is an allergy drug which is used to treat nasal allergy symptoms such as runny or stuffy nose. It is prescribed for nasal symptoms of seasonal and other allergies such as dust allergy. The active ingredient is triamcinolone, which belongs to the group of drugs called steroids. It works by preventing the release of substances within the body that cause inflammation. This helps to reduce inflammation in the nasal passages, helping you breathe better and to reduce stuffiness and runny nose. It also helps to prevent itching and sneezing caused by allergies.
