Product Details

Combivent (Ipratropium/Albuterol) inhaler is a COPD medication that is used for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Patients who use Combivent inhaler may also use other medications to control their condition. Albuterol and Ipratropium are bronchodilators that relax muscles in the airways and increase air flow to the lungs. This medication relaxes the muscles in the airways and this helps to increase the amount of oxygen that reaches the lungs. The Combivent nebules are inhaled through the inhaler.

The common side effects may include: constipation, diarrhea, headache, hoarse voice, sore throat, cough, runny nose, leg cramps, nausea, and upset stomach. More serious side effects may include:
• Bronchospasm;
• Chest pain, fast or pounding heartbeat;
• Increased blood pressure;
• Pain or burning when you urinate;
• Swelling in the ankles or feet;
• Vision problems, eye pain, halos around lights

You should not use Combivent if you are allergic to Albuterol (Proventil, Ventolin), Ipratropium (Atrovent), or Atropine (Atreza, Lomotil, Vi-Atro, Sal-Tropine). Before you start taking Combivent inhaler, inform your doctor about your medical conditions and about all the medications you are currently taking including OTC and herbal medications. It is unknown whether Combivent inhaler may cause harm to an unborn baby. You must discuss the risks and benefits of taking this medication if you planning to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding. Combivent inhaler is directed for use in adults but may be used for children if directed by a doctor.
