Product Details

Tradjenta (Linagliptin) is a prescription medication that helps to control blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes. Linagliptin is an oral diabetes medication. It works by increasing the levels of incretins, which help control blood sugar by increasing the release of insulin after a meal. It also decreases the amount of sugar made by your liver. Tradjenta may be combined with other medications to control high blood sugar and a proper diet and exercise regimen. Controlling high blood sugar may help prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems by controlling high blood sugar. It may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. The recommended daily dose of Tradjenta is 5 mg once a day with or without food.
