Dalbavancin belongs to the class of medications called lipoglycopeptide antibiotics. This medication works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Dalvance should only be used to treat infections that are proven to be caused by susceptible bacteria. Dalvance is administered via intravenous infusion, using a total infusion time of 30 minutes to minimize the risk of infusion-related reactions.
