Product Details:

Dicficid is a prescription medication used to treat caused by an infection with Clostridium difficile (C. difficile, a type of bacteria that may cause severe or life-threatening diarrhea). Fidaxomicin is a NEW macrolide antibiotic that works by killing sensitive bacteria or persistent bacteria. You may take this medication with or without food. If you experience any severe side effects such as chill, fever, pale skin, bloody stools, short of breath, sore throat, please contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly. The common side effects of Dificid include:

• bloating or gas
• mild rash or itching
• nausea, stomach pain, or vomiting

Before using Dicficid, tell your doctor:

• if you are allergic to Fidaxomicin or any ingredients in this medication
• if you have any other allergies or if you are allergic to other macrolide antibiotics (such as azithromycin, clarithromycin)
