Usage

Epclusa (Sofosbuvir/Velpatasvir) is a prescription medication used to treat chronic hepatitis C in adults and children older than 3 years of age. Without treatment, chronic hepatitis C can lead to life-threatening problems like liver cancer and cirrhosis. People with this condition often have no symptoms and do not feel sick. However, when the symptoms appear, they are a sign of advanced liver disease. Epclusa is sometimes used with other medicines like Ribavirin. The active substances in Epclusa are Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir. Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir belong to a class of medication called nucleotide polymerase inhibitors. They work by preventing the hepatitis C virus from replicating in your body. Epclusa may not prevent the spread of hepatitis C to other people.
