It is also used to treat iron overload syndrome that is caused by a generic blood disorder in adults and children who are at least 10 years old. Deferasirox belongs to a class of drugs known as iron-chelating agents. It works by binding to iron and removing it from the blood stream by allowing the body to pass extra iron out in the stool. Blood transfustion as very helpful but sometimes they can cause the body to hold on to too much iron. The extra iron can build up in the body and can cause problems such as heart failure, liver disease and diabetes.

• Kidney problems – urination more or less or difficult urination;

• Low blood cell counts – fever, chills or flu-like symptoms;
• Problems with vision or hearing;
• Severe skin reaction – fever, sore throat or swelling in your face;
• Signs of stomach bleeding – bloody or tarry stools

You should not take Jadenu if you are allergic to Deferasirox or if you have any other allergies.
