Usage

Tolak Cream (Fluorouracil Sodium) is a prescription medication used to treat actinic keratosis. This condition presents with rough, scaly patches ranging from pink, red, brown, or a combination of these colors. The patches are usually small in size and can sometimes be more prominent. Actinic keratosis is caused by prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or indoor tanning, and it appears in sun-exposed areas like the face, ears, scalp, neck, hands, and forearms. The active ingredient in Tolak Cream is Fluorouracil Sodium. Fluorouracil Sodium belongs to a class of drugs called topical antimetabolites. It works by interfering with the growth of abnormal cells on the skin's surface with minimal effect on healthy skin cells.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Tolak Cream are discomfort, itching, redness, scaling, and stinging at the application site.

• Severe itching or red rash at the application site;
