Cresemba (Isavuconazole, as Isavuconazonium Sulfate) is a prescription medication used to treat infections caused by certain types of fungus. Isavuconazole is an antifungal medication that works by stopping the growth of fungi. Cresemba should only be taken by patients who are 18 years of age and older.

Side Effects

There may be a drug interaction between Cresemba and other medications, especially: rifampin, ritonavir (at high doses), and St. John's wort. Cresemba should not be used if you are breastfeeding. This medication can pass into your breast milk and may harm your baby. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
