Usage

Myinfla (Colchicine Extended Release) is a prescription medication used to treat gout and reduce cardiovascular disease risks in people with plaque buildup in their arteries. Gout is caused by too much uric acid in the blood. Gout symptoms usually develop suddenly, and the big toe, knee, or ankle joints are most often affected. The active ingredient in Myinfla is Colchicine. Colchicine belongs to the class of medication called anti-inflammatories (antigout). Colchicine works by decreasing swelling and lessening the buildup of uric acid crystals that cause pain in the affected joint(s). Myinfla is not a pain medication, and it should not be used in place of pain medications.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Myinfla are diarrhea, nausea, cramping, abdominal pain, vomiting, headache, throat pain, and body rash.

Stop using Myinfla and contact your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• Severe muscle weakness and pain;
• Signs of a severe skin reaction such as blistering, peeling, a rash, or a rash combined with fever or discomfort;
