Pacerone Information

Pacerone (amiodarone) is an antiarrhythmic medication, which is able to affect the rhythm of the heartbeat in your body. It is often prescribed to help people who suffer from life threatening heart rhythm disorders, as it is able to help keep the heart beating in a more normal manner. Heart rhythm disorders of the ventricles are basically a problem with the lower chambers of the heart, which are there to allow blood to flow out of the heart.

This medication is only for use in life threatening situations. This is because any misuse of the medication could lead to fatal consequences, and doses should be administered in a medical environment to ensure the dose is administered correctly. The medication may also be prescribed to you for other purposes that are not listed in this article; however your doctor will be able to provide you with further information.

Pacerone Side Effects

A pounding heartbeat, dizziness, wheezing, blurred vision, trouble breathing, shortness of breath, numbness and burning sensation of the skin, are all known side effects which are associated with the use of this medication. It is important that if you encounter any side effects whilst using this medication, then you should consult your doctor for further advice and guidance.

The active ingredients that are used in the process of manufacture in this medication may cause side effects which can impair your thinking. It is therefore recommended that you do not drive or operate any heavy machinery whilst you are using this medication. Consuming grapefruit of any form may interact with the medication and can lead to potentially fatal side effects. Sleep problems and a lack of coordination are also less serious side effects which users have been known to experience whilst using this medication.

The generic alternative is not manufactured by the company that makes the brand product.
