Product Details

Striverdi Respimat is a preventative bronchodilator used to relax muscles in the airways and increase air flow to the lungs. The inhaler is used to prevent bronchospasms with patients who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and are also using other medication to control the condition. It will not treat a bronchospasm that has already started.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Striverdi Respimat include runny or stuffy nose, sinus pain, sneezing, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, dizziness, painful or difficult urination, rash, or back pain/joint pain. The serious side effects may include:

• Dangerously high blood pressure
• High blood sugar
• Low potassium
• New or worsening COPD symptoms
• Pounding heartbeats
• Wheezing, choking, or other breathing problems after use

You should not take Striverdi Respimat if you are allergic to Olodaterol Hydrochloride or if you have any other allergies. Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you currently take including OTC and herbal medications. This medication is only approved for adults, age 18 and older. Striverdi Respimat may increase the risk of death in people with asthma, but the risk for those with COPD is unknown. It is also unknown how this medication might affect an unborn or nursing infant. Talk to your doctor about the risks. There may be an interaction between Striverdi Respimat and other medications. The most notable include diuretics, heart or blood pressure medicines, beta-blockers, or antidepressants.
