Product Details

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) is a multivitamin product used to treat or prevent vitamin deficiency, specifically vitamin c deficiency. Vitamin C deficiency can occur due to poor diet, certain illness, or during pregnancy. Severe vitamin C deficiency is characterized by rough, bumpy skin, corkscrew-shaped body hair, red hair follicles, fingernails with red spots or lines, dry, damaged skin, easy bruising, slow healing wounds, painful joints, bleeding gums, and overall poor immunity and health. Vitamin C is effective in both treating vitamin C deficiency and preventing it. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is normally found in foods such as tomatoes, citrus fruits, potatoes and leafy vegetables. The substance is very important within the human body as it is used for a variety of processes, which help the body to maintain its basic functions. Vitamin C helps the body to absorb iron into the bloodstream which is needed for the reproduction of red blood cells, and it is also important that there is vitamin C available for the bones and the blood vessels to use on a daily basis.
