He used Cassie Le’s story as an example - her seven years Old daughter who was put on a feeding tube when she was seven months old. There is a drug called Domperidone used across the world to treat her condition called gastroparesis. She was taken off the feeding tubes and was living well with domperidone medication. Domperidone is available in more than one hundred countries including Canada and EU. However, the FDA is blocking the Le family and their access the only drugs that allowed them to have a normal life. The mother said she feared that her daughter will need the feeding tubes again.

“We shouldn’t have government putting up barriers to people getting their drugs.” Ted Cruz said.
