Usage

Bosulif (Bosutinib Monohydrate) is a prescription medication used to treat adults with a particular type of blood cancer called Philadelphia chromosome positive chronic myelogenous leukemia (Ph+ CML) who are newly diagnosed or no longer benefit from or other treatment. Bosulif belongs to a class of drugs called Tyrosine kinase inhibitor (antineoplastic agent). The active substance in Bosulif is Bosutinib. It works by blocking the action of enzymes known as Src and Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinases found on leukemia cells, which stimulate the cells to divide uncontrollably. By blocking their action, Bosulif helps to control cell division, thereby controlling the growth and spread of the leukemic cancer cells in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).
