Product Details

Bromday (Bromfenac) is an ophthalmic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat swelling and pain caused by cataract surgery. Bromday works by blocking the synthesis of chemicals called prostaglandins, which are mediators of intraocular inflammation, as well as intraocular pressure and vasodilation. By blocking the prostaglandins, Bromday effectively relaxes the blood vessels around the eyes and reducing pressure, which leads to a reduction of redness, swelling, and pain in the eye.

Common side effects of Bromday include increased light sensitivity, mild eye irritation, headache, or seeing flashes of light or “floaters” in your vision. Stop using this medication and contact your doctor at once if you notice more serious side effects such as any changes in your vision, slow healing after your eye surgery, eye redness or bleeding, eye pain or swelling, severe eye discomfort, or increased tears, crusting, or drainage.

You should not use Bromday if you are allergic to Bromfenac. TO make sure Bromday is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have asthma or a sulphite allergy, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, dry eye syndrome, an allergy to aspirin or other NSAIDs, a bleeding or blood-clotting disorder, or more than one eye surgery in a short period of time. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding to discuss any possible risks.
