Usage

Prolensa (Bromfenac Sodium) Opthalmic Solution is a prescription medication that is used to treat swelling and pain in the eye after cataract surgery. Bromfenac belongs to a class of drugs known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). This medication works by blocking the effects of certain natural substances that cause pain and inflammation.

Side Effects and Precautions

Stop using the medication and get medical care if you have an allergic reaction. Signs of an allergic reaction may include difficulty breathing, hives (rash on your body), swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat—If you experience any of these symptoms, please call 911 or seek emergency medical care at the nearest emergency room (ER).

The common side effects of Prolensa include abnormal sensation in the eye, burning or stinging in the eye, feeling like something is in the eye, headache, and itching of the eyes.
