Calmo Eye Care Information

Calmo Eye Care at CanadaPharmacyOnline.com

Calmo Eye Care is manufactured by Candorvision. It is available in many countries worldwide, including Canada. It is a line of over-the-counter liposomal products designed to relieve dry eye symptoms and support daily eyelid hygiene, particularly for people with blepharitis, ocular rosacea, or dry eye.

There is no generic equivalent of Calmo Eye Care.

Product Format:

Calmo Eye Care is available in the following forms:
• Calmo Eye Spray: 10 mL, a liposomal spray applied to closed eyelids.
• Calmo Lid Care: 70 mL, a liposomal solution used with cotton pads for eyelid cleansing.

To use Calmo Eye Spray, close your eyes and spray 1 to 2 times onto your closed eyelids from about 10 cm away, typically 3 to 4 times per day. To use Calmo Lid Care, saturate a lint-free cotton pad with the solution and gently wipe the eyelid margin and base of the eyelashes twice daily, using a fresh pad for each eye.

Usage:

Calmo Eye Care is used to relieve symptoms of dry eye, such as burning, itching, foreign body sensation, and general eye strain, and to support daily hygiene of the eyelids and eyelashes. Regular eyelid hygiene with products like Calmo Lid Care can be particularly helpful for people with blepharitis, ocular rosacea, conjunctivitis, or dry eye who need to gently remove debris, oil buildup, or makeup without disrupting the eye's natural tear film.

How It Works
Calmo Eye Spray contains liposomes, tiny lipid particles similar to the natural oils produced by the Meibomian glands in the eyelid. When sprayed onto closed eyelids, these liposomes mix with the eye's tear film with each blink, helping stabilize its outer lipid layer and reduce excessive tear evaporation that contributes to dry eye. Calmo Lid Care uses a similar liposomal, soap-free formula instead of traditional cleansing agents (tensides), so it gently lifts away debris, oils, and makeup from the eyelid margin without stripping the natural lipids the tear film depends on. Calmo Eye Spray also contains Dexpanthenol (pro-vitamin B5), Vitamin A (retinyl palmitate), and Vitamin E. Dexpanthenol provides active hydration and supports healing and repair of sensitive skin around the eyelids, which is central to its therapeutic benefit.

Use Calmo Eye Care exactly as directed on the product packaging. Do not apply Calmo Lid Care directly into the eye; it is intended for use on the closed eyelid margin and lash line only.

The information below summarizes some, but not all, potential side effects, risks, and interactions. Before using Calmo Eye Care, review the full product label and discuss any concerns with your doctor or pharmacist.

Side Effects:

The information below outlines potential side effects of Calmo Eye Care. It is not an exhaustive list, and individual reactions can vary.

Common side effects: These are common side effects of Calmo Eye Care; other side effects are possible. Contact your doctor promptly if any side effects are persistent, worsening, or concerning, or if you experience any other concerning symptoms.
• Mild stinging or a sensation of residue on the eyelid
• Mild, temporary blurring immediately after use

Serious Side Effects: Seek immediate medical attention or call emergency services if you experience any of the following symptoms:
• Severe Allergic Reaction: Rash, itching, or swelling of the face, eyelids, or throat.
• Severe Eye Irritation or Pain After Use, particularly if the spray or solution enters the eye directly and does not resolve with rinsing.

Contraindications:

The following is not an exhaustive list of contraindications. Before using Calmo Eye Care, it is crucial to discuss any relevant medical conditions or sensitivities with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not use Calmo Eye Care if:
• Allergies: You have a known hypersensitivity to soy lecithin or any other product ingredient.

Tell your doctor about any eye conditions you have before using Calmo Eye Care for daily hygiene, since certain conditions may need specific medical management.
• Blepharitis, Ocular Rosacea, or Conjunctivitis That Is Worsening or Not Improving.
• Recent Eye Surgery or Injury

Drug Interactions:

Before taking Calmo Eye Care, discuss all potential risks and interactions with your doctor or pharmacist. Provide your doctor with a complete list of all your medications, including prescriptions, over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, vitamins, herbal supplements, recreational drugs, and any significant dietary changes, as these may interact with Calmo Eye Care. If you use prescription eye drops or other ophthalmic medications, ask your doctor how to space them out relative to Calmo Eye Spray or Lid Care, since applying multiple products too close together can reduce their effectiveness. Calmo Eye Care is often used together with preservative-free artificial tears as part of a broader dry eye management plan.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:

Because Calmo Eye Care is applied externally to the closed eyelid and is not intended for use inside the eye, it is not expected to pose a meaningful risk during pregnancy or breastfeeding when used as directed. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns about using this product during pregnancy or while nursing.

Use in Children:

Use Calmo Eye Care in children under a parent's or caregiver's supervision for eyelid hygiene, but do not apply it directly into the eye, and do not leave young children to apply it unsupervised.
