Usage

Cetrotide Injection SC (Cetrorelix Acetate) is a prescription subcutaneous injection used to treat women with infertility problems such as premature ovulation, ovarian failure, and hyper-ovulating ovarian syndrome. It may be used with other hormone-related medications such as FSH and hCG. The active ingredient in Cetrotide is Cetrorelix Acetate. Cetrorelix Acetate belongs to the class of drugs called Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone Antagonists. It regulates pituitary function by blocking the release of luteinizing hormone from the gland. By the mechanism of action, Cetrorelix stops eggs from being released too early and gives the eggs time to grow properly.

The common side effects of Cetrotide Injection SC are headache, nausea, vomiting, injection site pain, or redness.
