Product Details
Cytoxan (Cyclophosphamide) is a chemotherapy medication that is used to treat various types of cancer. Cyclophosphamide works by slowing or stopping cell growth. Cytoxan is an antineoplastic. Cyclophosphamide is used in combination with other medications to treat breast cancer, leukemia and ovarian cancer.

Side Effects and Precautions
The common side effects of Cytoxan may include diarrhea, darkening of the skin/nails, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting and stomach ache. The serious side effects may include:
• Black or bloody stools;
• Mental or mood changes;
• Muscle weakness or spasm;
• Stomach or abdominal pain;
• Sudden or unusual weight gain;
• Swelling of the ankles or feet

You should not use Cytoxan if you are allergic to Cyclophosphamide or if you have any other allergies. Before you start taking the medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you are currently taking including OTC and herbal medications. This medication should not be used during pregnancy. It may harm an unborn baby. This drug passes into breast milk. You should not breast-feed while using this medication. You should be extra cautious if this medication is being used in children because they may be more sensitive to the side effects especially possible fertility later in life. Cytoxan may reduce the number of clot-forming cells in the blood so you should avoid activities that may cause bruising or injury. There are some medications that may interact with Cytoxan such as Etanercept, Doxorubicin or Trastuzumab, Ketonazole, Ondansetron, Succinylcholine, Indomethacin and Digoxin.
