Questions and Answers

1. Can I use Minims Tropicamide if I’m pregnant or nursing?
These eyedrops likely won’t cause any serious harm to an unborn or nursing infant. However, there have not been enough studies done to confirm this. Therefore, it’s best to avoid using Minims Tropicamide unless you’ve discussed the risks with your doctor first.

2. My child had to have his eyes dilated with Minims Tropicamide. Is there anything I need to do for him?
Because young children may rub their eyes after receiving Minims Tropicamide, it’s important to wash their hands regularly after using the drops. Help them with any sensitivity to light by bringing sunglasses for the ride home and watch for how long their eyes are dilated.

3. Can I use other eye medications if I have recently used Minims Tropicamide?
Unless your eye doctor or physician has specifically told you to, it’s best to avoid any other eye medication until the effects of Minims Tropicamide have worn off completely.
