Nubeqa (Darolutamide) is a prescription medication used to treat men with prostate cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body and no longer responds to a medial or surgical treatment that lowers testosterone. Darolutamide belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-androgens. It works by blocking the effects of testosterone to slow the growth and spread of prostate cancer. Nubeqa is given after surgery or if other treatments did not work or have stopped working.

The common side effects of Nubeqa may include abnormal liver function tests, fatigue, low white blood cells, pain in your arms, hands, legs, or feet, and rash.

• Severe headache, blurred vision, pounding in the neck or ears;

• Have a partner who may become pregnant

Nuqeba is not for use in women and it may cause fertility problems in males. This medication can harm an unborn baby or cause a miscarriage if a woman is exposed to it during pregnancy. Use effective birth control if your partner is able to get pregnant. Keep using birth control for at least one week after you last dose. Tell your doctor about all the medications you take including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Darolutamide and other medications. It is unknown if Nuqeba is safe and effective in children.
