Product Details

Nurtec ODT (Rimegepant) is a medication used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in aduts. Nurtec ODT is not approved as a preventative treatment of migraines. Nurtec works by blocking the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor, which becomes very active during a migraine attack and many migraine-related symptoms. In blocking this receptor, Nurtec can reduce migraines.

Nurtec ODT does not cause many side effects, but you may experience nausea after using it. Talk to your doctor about any other possible side effects. If you experience any serious side effects or signs of an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical attention.

Do not use Nurtec ODT if you are allergic to rimegepant. To make sure Nurtec is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had liver or kidney problems. As well, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, become pregnant, or are breastfeeding in order to discuss any possible risks. Tell your doctor about any medications, vitamins, or herbal supplements you are currently taking in order to reduce the risk of interactions.
