Nurtec ODT (Rimegepant) is a prescription used to prevent and treat episodic migraine that occurs with or without aura. The active ingredient in Nurtec ODT is Rimegepant. Rimegepant belongs to the class of medication called antimigraine, calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonists. It blocks CGRP receptors in the brain to reduce migraine symptoms of headache, nausea or vomiting. Nurtec ODT can also be taken regularly to prevent episodic migraines from happening. Nurtec ODT is an orally disintegrating tablet that dissolves on the tongue or under the tongue without the need to take it water. This medication is absorbed into the bloodstream very quickly and starts working within one hour to relieve migraine pain.

The common side effects of Nurtec ODT are nausea, stomach pain or indigestion.
