Product Details

Zirgan (Ganciclovir) is an ophthalmic antiviral drug. It is used to slow the growth and spread of the cytomegalovirus (CMV) in the eye, and is also used in a to treat eye ulcers caused by the herpes simplex virus. Zirgan is not a cure for CMV or herpes simplex. Zirgan works by interfering with the DNA of the virus cells, stopping them from replicating. The virus remains in the body between infections, but Zirgan can shorten the time of infections and lower the risk of complications.
