Still, if you’re taking certain prescription medications, you may also be at increased risk of an unexpected sunburn or skin reaction. Phototoxic reactions

Certain antibiotics
Several antibiotics are well known for increasing sun sensitivity.

Some fluoroquinolone antibiotics, including ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin, have also been associated with photosensitivity, although the risk varies among individual medications.

Avoid peak UV hours
Whenever possible, schedule outdoor activities before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m., when UV radiation is generally less intense. If you must be outside during midday, seek shade whenever available.
Protect your eyes
Many medications can also increase light sensitivity. Wearing sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays helps protect your eyes while reducing glare.
