Angeliq at CanadaPharmacyOnline.com

Brand Angeliq (estradiol and drospirenone), manufactured by Bayer Inc., is available in Canada and Australia.

Dosage:

Brand Angeliq oral tablets are available in 28-day packages with the following strengths (at this pharmacy):
• 1 mg estradiol/1 mg drospirenone
• 1 mg estradiol/2 mg drospirenone.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and treatment duration based on your individual needs and condition.

Usage:

Angeliq (estradiol and drospirenone) is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medication used to relieve symptoms of menopause. Menopause is the time of life when a woman's menstrual periods stop, and the body produces less estrogen than before. Angeliq contains two hormones: Estradiol, a form of estrogen which helps to reduce menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and sleep disturbances, and drospirenone, a progestin which helps to protect the lining of the uterus from thickening (endometrial hyperplasia) that can occur when estrogen is used alone. Drospirenone also has properties that may help with fluid retention and blood pressure.

Angeliq is typically used in women who have a uterus and are experiencing menopausal symptoms. For more information, please refer to the product labeling information: https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2012/021355s003lbl.pdf

Mechanism of Action:
Angeliq contains two active ingredients: Estradiol, a naturally occurring estrogen that works by replacing the estrogen that the body no longer produces during menopause. This helps to alleviate estrogen deficiency symptoms. It also contains drospirenone, a synthetic progestogen with anti-mineralocorticoid activity, similar to natural progesterone. It opposes some of the effects of estrogen on the endometrium, reducing the risk of endometrial hyperplasia. It also has properties that can counteract estrogen-related fluid retention and may have a mild blood pressure-lowering effect in some women.

Use Angeliq exactly as your doctor prescribes. Take one tablet by mouth once daily, with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day. Follow the instructions in the patient information leaflet that comes with your medicine. Consult your doctor for personalized guidance and safe use.
