Usage

Myrbetriq is a prescription medication that is used for the treatment of overactive bladder with symptoms of frequent or urgent urination and urinary incontinence. Mirabegron belongs to the family of medications called antispasmodic. Mirabegron works by relaxing the bladder muscles which will help to increase the amount of urine that your bladder can hold. The common side effects of Myrbetriq may include:
• Back pain;
• Constipation;
• Dizziness;

Warnings and Interactions

You should not take Myrbetriq if you are allergic to Mirabegron or if you have any other allergies. Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you take including OTC and herbal medications. This medication may make you dizzy. You should not drive or do any activity that requires you to be alert. Limit alcoholic beverages. Myrbetriq is not recommended for use in patients with severe uncontrolled hypertension and pregnancy. Angioedema of the face, lips, tongue, and/or larynx has been reported with Myrbetriq. In some cases, angioedema occurred after the first dose. Myrbetriq should not be used during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding a baby. There may a drug interaction between Mirabegron and other medications such as alfuzosin, amiodarone, atomoxetine, azelastine, carvedilol, chloroquine, digoxin, domperidone, duloxetine, ipratropium, metoprolol, mirtazapine, oxybutynin, propranolol, quinine, tamoxifen, tolterodine, tiotropium, venlafaxine, etc.
