Urocit K Details (Brand and Generic)

CanadaPharmacyOnline.com offers the brand Urocit K from Turkey manufactured by Aymed Pharma, and Canada by Paladin. The Urocit K oral solution is available from the United Kingdom also called Cymaclear oral solution by Actavis. The generic Potassium Citrate tablets come from Canada also called K-Citrate by Jamp Pharma and the effervescent tablets and oral solution is manufactured by different manufacturers.

Dosage

Urocit K is available in the strength of 540 mg (5 meq), 1080 mg (10 meq) tablets, and 1500 mg/5 ml/60 ml oral solution. The generic Potassium Citrate comes in the strength of 975 mg (25 meq) effervecent tablets, 1080 mg (10 meq) tablets, and 1080 mg/5 ml/450 ml oral solution.

Usage

Urocit K (Potassium Citrate) is a prescription medication used to make the urine less acidic which helps the kidneys to get rid of uric acid, thereby helping to prevent gout and kidney stones. This medication can also prevent and treat certain metabolic problems caused by kidney disease. Citric acid and citrate salts belong to a class of drugs known as urinary alkalinizers. This medication works by crystallizing stone-forming salts such as calcium oxalate, calcium phosphate, and uric acid within the urinary bladder by increasing the urinary pH and urine citrate levels.
