Prezcobix (Darunavir Ethanolate/Cobicistat) is a prescription medication used to treat adults and children with HIV-1 infection, a virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Prezcobix belongs to the group of drugs called Antiretroviral combinations. The active ingredients in Prezcobix are Darunavir Ethanolate and Cobicistat. Darunavir works by preventing the virus from multiplying in your body. Cobicistat reduces the action of enzymes in your liver that break down certain antiviral medicines. Prezcobix does not cure HIV/AIDS, but taking HIV medicines daily helps people with HIV live longer, healthier lives.
